Opening Dates & Times

Scott’s Pumpkin Patch is open from 10am until 5pm on the following dates:

Half Term Week: Monday 26th to Saturday 31st October 

Please bring your welly boots with you!

Last entry is at 3.30pm. Last entry is in place to ensure everyone has enough time to enjoy the Pumpkin Patch before the event closes at 5pm.

Each booking session lasts 90 minutes, giving you plenty of time to explore the event.

Pumpkin picking and family autumn fun in Southend, Essex

Get ready for an unforgettable autumn adventure at Scott’s Pumpkin Patch, returning to Scott’s of Southend throughout October 2026.

Explore our outdoor Pumpkin Patch, choose from pumpkins in different colours, shapes and sizes, make your way through the Maize Walk and see our gorgeous Baby Highland cows in their paddock.

You can also step inside our fully covered Pumpkin Barn, packed with pumpkins, Halloween art walls, impressive seasonal displays and fantastic family photo opportunities.

Whether you are looking for pumpkin picking near Southend, an affordable family day out in Essex or somewhere special to capture your autumn photographs, Scott’s Pumpkin Patch has something for everyone.

Ticket Prices

Pumpkins, food, drinks, merchandise and optional activities are not included with admission.

Peak Admission

Valid from 17th to 31st October:

• Online admission: £6.95 per Adult and £6.95 per Child.
• Admission on the door: £7.95 per Adult and £7.95 per Child. 
• Children under two: Free
• Qualifying carers: Free (with a valid DLA, PIP or Access Card)

Every person entering the event requires a valid ticket, including children under two and complimentary carers.

Walk-in admission is subject to availability. We recommend booking online to secure your preferred date and arrival time and receive the lowest admission price. If we are at full capacity we will be unable to allow walk in's. 

Where to find the event?

Scott’s Pumpkin Patch is held in the field and polytunnel on
the right-hand side of the site. The event has its own entrance, which is
accessible directly from the car park.

Please follow the Pumpkin Patch signs when you arrive.

Important: Scott’s Pumpkin Patch is not located inside
the main garden centre.

What Is Included With Admission?

Your Scott’s Pumpkin Patch ticket includes:

• Entry to the outdoor Pumpkin Patch
• Entry to the fully covered Pumpkin Barn
• Entry to the Maize Walk, subject to conditions (This may be closed in bad weather conditions)
• See Highland cows to see in their paddock. Public are not able to go inside the paddock.
• Halloween art walls and seasonal displays
• Autumn and Halloween photo opportunities
• Meet roaming spooky characters at weekends and during half term
• Free onsite parking
• Visitor toilets
• Wheelbarrows, subject to availability

Plan Your Pumpkin Patch Visit

There’s lots to see and do at Scott’s Pumpkin Patch throughout October, but what’s available can vary depending on the day you visit. WE ARE OPEN IN ALL WEATHER, please wear the correct clothing and footwear. If it rains before or during your visit, please be careful of slippery and wet areas. Refunds are not offered due to wet weather.

Our core Pumpkin Patch experience is open on all advertised event dates, while weekends and October half term (26th-31st Oct) bring additional food traders, activities and seasonal extras.

Once you leave the event you are unable to re-enter. So make sure you bring everything you need in with you and book your table in our restaurant either before or after your pumpkin patch session. 

Visiting During Half Term?

• Face painting & hair braiding from Little Sisters 

• Custom trucker hats from Never Ending Chain

You can also meet our roaming spooky characters on selected weekends and during October half term (26th-31st Oct), which is included with your admission.

A Little Reminder About Optional Extras

Pumpkins, food, drinks, merchandise, face painting, custom trucker hats and other optional activities are not included in your admission ticket and are charged separately.

Traders, activities and concessions may operate on selected dates and are subject to availability, so if there’s something in particular you’re hoping to enjoy, we recommend checking the event information before your visit.

Booking Information

Important: Create a DigiTickets account before you check out

We strongly recommend creating a DigiTickets account before completing your purchase. Without an account, you will not be able to manage or change your booking. 

Customers who create an account before checkout can change their booking up to 12 hours before their session, subject to availability. A £1.50 amendment fee applies each time a booking is changed.

Once you are within 12 hours of your session, no changes can be made. Creating an account now is the best way to avoid losing your booking if your plans change.
