Scott's Light Up The Night

NEW FOR 2025!

Light Up The Night at Scotts of Southend is a brand new family friendly winter light trail created to celebrate light, colour and togetherness throughout the colder months. Opening on 28th November and running on select dates through December and early January this sparkling experience guides visitors through a magical collection of glowing installations including a illuminated bath tub, floating butterflies, shimmering light tunnels, woodland creatures, a deep sea submarine scene and many other playful surprises. Guests can stroll at their own pace through indoor and outdoor areas, filled with atmospheric music, cosy photo spots and more than one million twinkling lights!

This experience lasts 30-45 minutes.

Entry price is £5 per person (Adults & Children)


Children under 2 enter for free


Carers enter for free. Carers must bring valid proof of their carer status. Accepted evidence includes:
A Carers Allowance Award Letter
• A Benefit Award Letter for the person you care for such as Attendance Allowance or Personal Independence Payment
• A letter from your GP confirming you are registered as a carer
• A Carers Passport issued by a local authority or NHS trust


Dogs are welcome but must remain on a lead and under full control of a responsible adult at all times.

Event Information:

• Tickets are valid only for the date and time slot booked. Entry may not be granted if you arrive outside your allocated time.
• All tickets are non refundable and non transferable.
• Adults & Children aged 2 and over are £5 per person. Children aged under 2 and registered carers enter free of charge.
• Carers must bring valid proof of their carer status. Accepted evidence includes a Carers Allowance Award Letter a Benefit Award Letter for the person you care for such as Attendance Allowance or Personal Independence Payment a letter from your GP confirming you are registered as a carer or a Carers Passport issued by a local authority or NHS trust. Carers who cannot provide one of these forms of evidence may be refused free entry.
• The main garden centre will be closed from 5pm Monday to Saturday and from 4pm on Sundays.
• The event takes place inside the polytunnel and along gravel paths in the car park area.
• It is half indoors and half outdoors. Visitors must dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear for uneven or slippery surfaces
• Dogs are welcome but must remain on a lead and under full control of a responsible adult at all times.
• Toilets are available on site but there is no baby changing facility.
• Heavy pushchairs or large wheeled items may be difficult to move across gravel paths so visitors should consider this before bringing such items.
• Guests must follow all instructions from event staff and any on site signage. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event with no refund.
• The organisers reserve the right to cancel or change any part of the event due to weather safety issues or factors beyond our control. In such cases no refund or compensation will be offered unless specifically stated.
